John M. Lass – President/CEO
John’s entire professional career has been spent in the non-profit sector. A native New Yorker, he graduated from Siena College in Loudonville, NY in 1975. After completing his Master of Divinity degree at the Washington Theological Union in 1981, John was ordained to the Catholic Priesthood where he spent the next eleven (11) years in a variety of pastoral assignments in Apopka, FL; Fall River, MA; Bronx, NY; Tampa, FL, and Silver Spring, MD. John's last pastoral assignment was as Vice President for Institutional Advancement at the Washington Theological Union. John and his wife Kathy relocated to Martin County in 1992 when he became our Y's Director of Development. In April 1998, John was appointed to his present position of President/CEO.
Jenni Groth– Finance Director
Jenni joined the Finance Department with the YMCA of the Treasure Coast in April 2007. Her professional career has been built up over many years in the accounting/financial field. She has earned titles such as Financial Analyst, Office Manager and Accounting Specialist. Jenni was drawn to the YMCA through her children, who participate in the excellent programs that are offered.
Charlene M. Foster- Director of Development
Charlene joined the Y in 1997 as a lifeguard. She earned her Degree from the College of the Desert in Liberal Arts in 1996. During her tenure at the Y, Charlene worked her way up the ranks from Lifeguard to Director of Development. She left the Y in 2004 and returned to the Y in 2010. With a passion to help others, Charlene was drawn back to the Y by her desire to further her career. She was promoted to her current position in 2012 and is driven to help the Y have a greater reach in the community and to server more people all along the Treasure Coast.
Robin Kae Sutherland-Easter House Project
Robin joined the YMCA of the Treasure Coast in March, 1999, as Development Administrative Assistant. Her move to the YMCA was prompted by a desire to have a fun, safe environment for her children to grow while she was working. She has eleven (14) years of fundraising experience and prior to coming to the YMCA; she worked as District Manager for South Florida Blood Banks. She grew up as a “Y” kid in Burlington, Vermont where she learned how to play tennis during the summers and how to swim in their indoor pool during the winters. Robin is an independent contractor for the Y.
Shawn Keil- District Executive Director
Shawn was recently promoted to District Executive Director – serving the Y Mission at the YMCA Louis Dreyfus Citrus Indiantown Branch, St. Lucie, Okeechobee, and Indian River Co. Shawn came to our Y in 04 as Branch Exec. of our Indiantown Branch. “Passion for the YMCA Mission and Community” best describes Shawn. He also served the YMCA of Greater Richmond, Oswego YMCA (NY), and the Fulton Family YMCA (NY). Shawn graduated from Slippery Rock University with Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Sport Management while serving as captain of the school's Lacrosse team. He coached and played lacrosse professionally early in his career. Shawn and his family live in St. Lucie County.
Elisha Stoecklin-Executive Director Stuart
Elisha Stoecklin has recently been promoted to Branch Executive Director of the Richard C. Geisinger Sr. branch of the YMCA of the Treasure Coast. Elisha has over 13 years’ experience with our YMCA. Elisha started with our Y as a lifeguard in May, 2000 and has held the following positions: Swim Instructor, Swim Team Head Coach, Aquatics Director, Sports Director, Facilities Operations Manager and most recently, Senior Program Director. Elisha graduated from PBA University Summa Cum Laude with a BS in Business Sport Management in 2005. She is married to Grant Stoecklin, and they recently had a baby in June of 2013.
Audra Mariz-Executive Director SportsWorld
Audra Mariz is a Florida native and has lived on the Treasure Coast since graduating from the University of South Florida with a degree in Mass Communications in 2000. Her Y story, however, started in 1996 when she started as lifeguard and swim instructor at the Y in West Palm Beach. When she went away to college, she continued to work at the Y, increasing her responsibilities as the years went on. Her love for the Y and its mission grew, and upon graduation and moving to the Treasure Coast, she naturally looked to the Y. Years later, she now is the Branch Executive Director of the Y SportsWorld location and also facilitates the association’s marketing. She lives in Port St Lucie with her husband and their two children.
