Now in it’s 34th year of service to the community, the YMCA of the Treasure Coast operates in Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee Counties with locations at the Richard C. Geisinger, Sr. Branch in Stuart, the Louis Dreyfus Citrus Branch in Indiantown, Y Adventure Guides in Vero Beach, the YMCA Bayshore Blvd. Program Center in Port St. Lucie, YMCA SportsWorld in Stuart, and the Y Summer Camp Programs in Okeechobee and Ft. Pierce.

The following 2010 information shows how the Y continues to impact lives daily on the Treasure Coast.

¨ $258,904 in scholarships and community outreach touched 500 families, and the number will be even greater in 20 11.

¨  1,605 youngsters participated in basketball, soccer, flag football, volleyball and 250 Preschoolers participated in Preschool Sports. They were assisted by volunteer coaches.

¨  2 16 people volunteered to help make Y programs successful.

¨  4,341 people were members of the YMCA of the Treasure Coast.

¨ Over 1,107 different children experienced the thrill of 24 different Y summer camps or specialty camps in Martin, St. Lucie and Okeechobee Counties.

¨  2 45 families were provided safe and healthy daycare for their children at the Stuart YMCA Teddy Bear Academy and the YMCA Indiantown Child Care Center.

¨  1,150 kids learned how to swim thanks to Y swim programs and 640 kids participated in Y Group Swim Lessons.

¨  495 youth were provided healthy and engaging after-school care at all Y locations

¨  786 young boys and girls participated in Y gymnastics programs and over 480 children participated in gymnastics camp at YMCA SportsWorld.

¨  118 girls participated at competitive team level in gymnastics at YMCA SportsWorld.

¨ Over 1 6,0 00 youth and teens enjoyed skating at YMCA SportsWorld.

¨ We collaborate with Big Brothers/Big Sisters,  ARC, Access Sports America, Early Learning Coalition, Habitat for Humanity,  Martin County Libraries, 20-200 fellowship and other non-profit organizations.
