The Y is a nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. We put Judeo-Christian principles into practice through programs to build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.
WHY THE Y...Because the Y nurtures the potential of every child and teen, improves the nation's health and well-being, and provides opportunities to give back and support neighbors. We change lives! The YMCA is for all. We make sure that everyone, no matter their age, gender, race or ability, is welcomed as part of the YMCA family.
YMCA MEMBERSHIP HAS ITS BENEFITS
YMCA members are what makes the Y so special. Your Y membership provides a place for you to belong, where friends and families come together to strengthen spirit, mind and body.
All YMCA programs are tools to accomplish our mission. The Y believes in the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Experience some of our programs like swim programs, gymnastics, child care, youth sports, cheerleading, and roller skating.
YMCA Employee & volunteer abuse prevention code of conduct
YMCA staff and volunteers work by a code. This code was put in place to establish appropriate behavior. YMCA employees and volunteers are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that will not reflect adversely on the YMCA. If a single child left to the supervision of 1 employee or volunteer, that employee or volunteer is required to position themselves to be visible by others. Staff and volunteers shall never leave a child unsupervised. Staff and volunteers will portray a positive role model for youth.
Childcare: Staff may not release children to anyone other than the authorized parent or guardian. Staff who do not recognize the custodial parent or legal guardian must ask for identification and check it against file information.Staff or volunteers may not be alone with children they meet in YMCA programs outside of the YMCA. This includes babysitting. For a complete copy of the YMCA of the Treasure Coast Employee and Volunteer Code of Conduct, if you have any questions, or see any violations of the above guidelines, please notify Christine Coller, Chief Operating Officer, at (772) 286-4444/ext.228 or email@example.com . Thank you for working with us to keep all children safe.
