Recreational Cheer
All aspects of cheerleading are covered in this recreational cheerleading program. Time is allotted for jumps, cheers, chants, tumbling and dance techniques. This class provides a great introduction to the sport and allows parents to see if the child is interested/ ready for competitive cheerleading. We cater to athletes ages 4 and older.

Season Dates: Spring season March 11-May 11

Class Days/ Times: Fridays at 3:15-4:15 or 4:15-5:15 (times will depend on ennrollment)

Recreational Dance

We are excited that Florida Arts & Dance Co. is now partnering with the Y to offer recreational dance classes! This collaboration is important to the Y and Florida Arts & Dance because of our shared belief in developing spirit, mind and body through dance. Kids of all ages enjoy the Y and now will appreciate dance as a lifelong activity for self expression, strength, agility, creativity and balance. These new dance classes are a perfect fit for our Y kids!

Off the Barre' Ballet Class

Ages 4-10

Tuesday 3:15-4:15 or Wednesday 4:20-5:20

What to Wear: Leotard or tank top with dark shorts/ pants or leggings with socks

Jazz/ Funk Hip-Hop Class

Ages 7-14

Friday 5:30-6:30

What to Wear: solid tee or tank top with shorts/ pants/ leggings and sneakers.
