Childcare Welcome to Teddy Bear Academy. YMCA Teddy Bear Academy gives your child the consistent, positive attention they need. Our pre-school builds on children’s natural desire to learn new things and become more self-reliant. The Y is an exciting and challenging place, helping pre-schoolers stretch their skills in mind and body. It is also a safe, comfortable place where children build positive relationships with caring adults. We provide care for children from ages 6 weeks in our infant room to 5 years for pre-kindergarten. The YMCA Teddy Bear Academy is open year round. Our summer programs enjoy swimming lessons for ages three and up. Camp Teddy Bear is offered for four and five year olds with an emphasis on field trips, art and fun. We have one voluntary pre-kindergarten class beginning in January of 2008 and offer a wrap around program for working parents. Our children enjoy gymnastics and music classes in the fall. These services are included in the weekly tuition. We follow the state guidelines for our voluntary pre-kindergarten program and are monitored by the Early Learning Coalition and the Department of Children and Families. The initial registration fee is $50.00 and a re-newel registration of $25.00 is charged annually. We have an annual supply fee of $30.00. Tuition is charged weekly in all programs and is due the Wednesday before the week begins.
