Youth Soccer Overview
* Rules: Based on standard soccer regulations but are modified for each age division. They are designed to give all players of different skill levels an equal opportunity for success.
* Behavior: Appropriate behavior must always be shown at all practices and games. Adults are powerful role models and should always display good character in their words and actions. Only positive encouragement should be given and instruction should only be given by the coaches to prevent confusion.
* Divisions: Based on age: 4-5 years (co-ed), 6-7 years (co-ed), 8-9 years (co-ed), 10+ years (co-ed). Players may move up, with advanced skill level and with prior permission from the league director, but not move down an age division. Exceptions are made for children with a disability only.
* Balls: Children are encouraged to bring their own balls; 4-9 year olds use size 3, 10-13 year olds use size 4.
* Field Size: 4-9 years old - The field of play is 30 yards wide and 40 yards long.
10-13 years old - The field of play is 40 yards wide and 50 yards long.
* Team Formation: teams are put together based on a number of factors including age, coach’s availability, player’s available practice days, skill level, and equal number of players per teams. Because of the difficulties these challenges present and to be fair to everyone, requests are not guaranteed.
* Field Rules: No pets allowed on the field due to safety concerns for all involved. Please assist in keeping the fields clean of debris and trash. Please park in designated areas and please do not park in the areas by the cones. Parents / Coaches-
for safety reasons,do not allow the kids to hang or swing from goals.
